Second Announcement
Acceptance and format of the publication.
- Initial
decisions concerning acceptance of the papers to be delivered at the
Symposium will be based on the abstracts submitted by March 31, 2005. The
information will be sent by e-mail by April 30, 2005.
- The
full text of the paper together with the declaration of the author’s
rights should be submitted by e–mail or on floppy disks by June 20,
2005.The forms and the format requirements are available on the website of
the Symposium. The average paper should not exceed 8 pages and plenary paper
12 pages.
- The
abstracts and the program of the Symposium will be edited in the form of a
brochure. All papers qualified for the presentations at the Symposium will
be available on CDs. All the participants will get both the brochure with
the abstracts and the CD.
- The
papers selected during the presentations at the Symposium by the Scientific
Board will be recommended for publication in a book form by Springer Verlag
or Publisinhg House of Poznan University of Technology as well as in the
following journals:

in the journals will be issued according to the criteria of the particular
editors in the number agreed between the organizers of the Symposium and the
particular editors.
- Participants
will be informed about the form of the presentation (paper or poster) in the
Third Announcement on our website by July 31, 2005.
Venue
of the Symposium and form of presentations
The Symposium with foreign
guests participation will take place in a modern lecturing Center of the Poznan
Technical University at Berdychowo Street, 60 – 965 Poznań, in the auditorium
halls No. 8 and 9, first floor.
The office of the Symposium
will be placed in the rooms adjacent to the auditorium halls and will be open on
September 13, from 3–9 p.m. and September 14, from 8 a.m. till the end of the
Symposium.
Auditorium halls are equipped
in the multi–media projectors, overhead projectors, portable computers and
sound facilities.
The time allotted for a paper is 15
minutes + 5 minutes' discussion and for a plenary paper 35 minutes + 10
minutes' discussion. The representatives of the companies will have 15 minutes
in the presentation session. Presentations should be announced in the
participants’ forms.
Poster session will take place
in the main hall near the auditorium halls. It is recommended to place posters
sized 90 x 100 cm (vertical arrangement) before the poster session on the
numbered panels. They can be left there throughout the whole Symposium.

Full symposium
fee covers organizational costs of the Symposium as well as the costs of
printing and issue of symposium materials, beverages in the breaks, all the
meals and the accommodation costs for three nights.
In case of
resignation after full payment has been made it is recommended to notify the
organizers in order to get the refund: by July 31 – to get 100% of the fee and
August 31 – to get 50% of the fee. Later resignations will not by refunded.
Accommodation
We have arranged accommodation for the
participants in guests rooms and students’ rooms of our University in a very
close location to the venue of the Lecture Center. Both guest rooms and students’
rooms are double – if you have any suggestions of who you would wish to share
a room with, please let us know in advance.
We have prepared
an option of a symposium fee without accommodation for the participants residents
of Poznań or guests wishing to arrange their accommodation by themselves.
Meals
Meals will be
served in the University canteen close to the Conference halls. Refreshments
will be served during the brakes. Costs include a social event and a dinner
reception.
