In deep sorrow we would like to inform that Professor Wanda Truszkowska D.Sc. (Agr.) has passed away on 20 October 2004. She was 87 years old.

Professor Truszkowska was the head of Department of Plant Pathology at the Agricultural University of Wrocław and a founder and Chairmen of the first division of The Polish Phytopathological Society – the Wrocław Division.
She was honorary memeber of both Polish Botanical Society and The Polish Phytopathological Society.
